Writing Your Author Bio

Writing your author bio can be as daunting and challenging as writing a query letter! You will want to include your education, your work or life experience (if it’s relevant to your story or nonfiction work), awards, honors, leadership or mentoring roles, professional memberships or organizations and why you are the one to write the story. Sounds easy enough, you say, what’s the catch? Ahhhh, the catch is it should be between 100 to 250 words (the shorter the better) and your bio should mirror who you are as an author. Also, let your bio reveal your personality.
